Senior Project Manager – Heating (Berlin)

SR2 are partnering with an exciting full-solution provider operating within the energy and heating infrastructure sector to recruit a Senior Project Manager – Heating based in Berlin.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex heating and energy infrastructure projects from contract award through to commissioning and final handover, working alongside customers, contractors, engineering teams, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholder

You will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex heating and energy infrastructure projects
  • Manage project scope, programme, budget, quality, safety, and commercial performance
  • Act as the senior point of contact for customers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
  • Drive contract management, change control, claims management, and commercial negotiations
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, subcontractors, and external partners
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, commissioning activities, and final project handover
  • Manage project risks, compliance requirements, permits, and stakeholder expectations
  • Provide financial oversight including forecasting, cashflow monitoring, budget control, and margin protection
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior project management colleagues

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ project management experience within heating, district heating, energy infrastructure, utilities, industrial construction, HVAC, or similar technical environments
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex technical projects from initiation through completion
  • Strong contract management, commercial management, budgeting, and supplier negotiation experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of regulatory, permitting, safety, and compliance requirements within infrastructure or energy projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent professional English & German
  • Degree in Engineering, Energy Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or similar
  • PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent certification beneficial
  • Experience within district heating, heating plants, industrial facilities, utilities, or public infrastructure highly advantagous
